Dear Friends,

Hoping this mail finds you well.

We are happy to announce our next salon "Tea with Lin".
Lin Wang is our lovely friend who is passionate about Chinese tea - she comes to our place with her own tea set regularly and then creates an intimate precious moment by serving tea.

We appreciate so much her gentle presence, her tea stories and knowledge, the calm atmosphere she creates. These moments are so magical and relaxing, a true gift - that we want to share with you.

Hope to see you then.
All the best.
Tea with Lin

It (Teaism) is essentially a worship of the Imperfect, as it is a tender attempt to accomplish something possible in this impossible thing we know as life.

-- Okakura Kakuzō  "The Book of Tea" (1906)

Tea began thousands of years ago as a medicine and grew into a beverage. It seems to be such a banal thing in our daily life that we often simply forget to activate our senses when drinking it. While preparing whole leaf tea through Gongfu Cha approach and enjoying it sip by sip is a practice to slow down, become aware of our surroundings and connect with our body in a beautiful way.

In our intimate Chinese tea session with Lin, guests will be asked to pick one type of four selected fine whole leaves from China and Taiwan, and she’s going to brew it in Gongfu Cha style.

During the first three infusions, it’s preferable to serve and drink in silence, in order to focus on the cup of tea itself - the aroma, the taste, the texture, and how it changes from one brew to another...

Please feel free to express in words after that if you want, or if you have any questions. Tea enjoyment will go on for another few brewings and homemade Japanese sweets will be also served.
